Before presenting the Mathematical Symmetry
in God's attributes, I want to expose one of the greatest blasphemies of
the followers of Hadith. Because of a famous hadith, the majority of Muslims
believe that there are exactly 99 attributes of God. In that hadith Abu
Hurayra narrates: "To God belong 99 Attributes, a hundred less one;
for He likes Odd Numbers. Whosoever knows the 99 attributes, will enter
paradise." Hence, the Arabic list of 99 attributes is one of the most
popular posters in the Muslim world. Many memorize the list in hopes of
making it to paradise. You can find it hanging on the walls of almost every
religious house. Though the Quran clearly states that ALL beautiful attributes
belong to God (17:110) and mentions MORE than 99 attributes, the followers
of Hadith and Sunnah tend to limit God's attributes to 99. Unfortunately,
it is a consistent behavior of traditional Muslims to prefer Hadith to
the Quran. The Encyclopedia of Islam states this fact under the title Asma
al Husna:
In fact, on the one hand, the traditional 99 "most Beautiful attributes"
do not exhaust the list of all the Kur'anic attributes; on the other hand,
some of them do not occur ad litteram in Kur'an.
Calamitously, traditional Muslims have fabricated more than 99 attributes
for the prophet Muhammad, attributing to him many of God's attributes such
as HAAD (The Guide), HASEEB (The Reckoner), MUJEEB (The Responder to Prayers),
QAWIY (The Powerful) SHAFIY (The Healer), AWWAL (Alfa), AKHIR (Omega),
etc. You can see those 102 fabricated attributes inside the cover of Qurans
published in Pakistan, for instance. Muhammad's names rival God's attributes,
and outnumber them.
The blasphemy does not stop there. It goes further. Through the 99 attributes,
Satan has fooled them to attribute a bad attributes to God: ed-DARR (The
Harmful). The meaning of "DARR" is very clear. Look it up in
any dictionary and you will find the same definition: HARMFUL.
Dr. Cesar Adib Majul, in his book "The Attributes of Allah in Relation
To The Mathematical Structure of Quran" discovered the following two
facts:
1. Only four attributes of God have gematrical (numerical) values that
are a multiple of 19, i.e.: Wahed, Zul fadlil 'azeem, Majeed, and Jami'.
2. The numerical values of these four attributes correspond exactly
to the frequency of the four words of "basmalah," in the Quran;
that is, 19, 2698, 57, and 114.
Frequency of: Gematrical value of:
Ism(Name), Wahed(One) ******19 (19x1)
Allah(God), Zul fadlil 'azeem(Possessors of Infinite Grace) ****2698
Al-Rahman(Gracious), Majeed(Glorious) ****57 (19x3)
Al-Raheem(Merciful), Jami'(Editor, or Gatherer) ****114 (19x6)
If we study this table we will notice an asymmetry. On the right side
of the table are four attributes of God, but on the left side there are
only three. Obviously, "Ism" (Name) is not an attributes of God.
Therefore, we can hypothesize two things in order to have a symmetric table:
1. There may be one attributes of God which has a frequency of 19.
2. Only four attributes of God may occur in the Quran as multiple of
19.
When we examine the frequencies of all the attributes of God, we find
that ONLY four of them are repeated in the Quran as multiple of 19. We
have already discovered three of them: Allah (God), Rahman (Most Gracious),
and Raheem (Most Merciful). The fourth one is "Shaheed" (Witness).
This attributes is mentioned in the Quran exactly 19 times and thus fills
the empty space corresponding to the numerical value of "Wahed"
(One) on the right side of the table.
3:98* 4:33* 4:79* 4:166 *5:117* 6:19 *10:29 *10:46* 13:43 *17:96 *22:17
*29:52 *33:55 34:47* 41:53* 46:8* 48:28 *58:6* 85:9
Now we have the ultimate table of God's attributes that fulfills the
symmetry condition:
Frequency Of: Gematrical Value Of:
Shaheed(Witness) ; Wahed(One)**** 19 (19x1)
Allah(God) ; Zul fadlil 'azeem(Possessors of Infinite Grace)****2698
(19x142)
Rahman(Gracious) ; Majeed (Glorious)**** 57 (19x3)
Raheem(Merciful) ; Jami' (Editor, or Gatherer)****114 (19x6)
We can read this table in the light of the Quran:
God bears WITNESS that He is ONE. GOD is POSSESSOR OF INFINITE GRACE
by sending his revelation to us. He is MOST GRACIOUS and GLORIOUS. He is
MOST MERCIFUL as the EDITOR of the Quran and the GATHERER on the day of
Judgment. . . .
